Multilink (pooled modem bandwidth)
Multilink provides the capability to use more than one modem simultaneously for
increased Internet speed. Multilink support is provided for $20 per month for
each additional connection required.

- Do I need a phone line to get the Internet?
Yes. NCATS Dial-Up Internet service goes through your phone line and uses a computer with a modem.
- Can I receive calls while on the Internet?
No. Once you are connected to the Internet through your computer, anyone who calls you will get a busy signal. You can use outside services like CallWave, which will take calls to an "Internet Answering Machine." This is a fee based service and is not supported by NCATS.
- If I am surfing the Web, will I get long distance charges?
No. You will not receive any long distance charges, as long as you are connected to NCATS, because you are dialing a local phone number.
